If you love the great outdoors, you’ll love everything the Sawgrass Sanctuary has to offer. This 20-acre park and educational center in Sunrise is home to an observation platform, fishing pier, 200 ft. boardwalk, and nature trail perfect for hiking or bicycling. In addition, this park has picnic pavilions, a concert stage and interactive displays about the areas dominant ecosystems. This sanctuary preserves and protects Sunrise's ecological heritage. Furthermore, this parked helped the City of Sunrise earn a highly-regarded "America's Crown Communities" award from American City & County magazine. Sawgrass Sanctuary is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and until 8 p.m. during Daylight Saving Time. Silver Lakes, Sunrise Lakes Condo and Le Chateau are some of the condos in Sunrise that are close to the Sawgrass Sanctuary.
