Broward County magnet schools are actually magnet programs taught in specific Broward County schools. More than forty different themes are available and spread throughout the Broward County school system. Themes are broken down by level: elementary school themes include performing and visual arts and science and technology; middle school themes include health and wellness and liberal arts; and high school themes include aviation and marine science. The prestigious International Baccalaureate programs are offered at every level. Any student in Broward County can apply to attend and magnet school in Broward County, although there are often academic requirements that must be met.
